Charlie Bird’s Amazon journey

After years spent travelling as a reporter, Charlie Bird sets off to explore one of the most remote and remarkable places on our planet.

Starting at the source of the Amazon over 18,000 feet above sea level and ending up in the Peruvian Andes, Charlie makes his way though sweltering jungle down the second largest river on earth to the Atlantic Ocean. It’s an arduous 4,000 mile journey across the continent of South America – camping, sweating and doing it the hard way.
